Description

An exquisite appetizer of roasted peppers under a delicate creamy tuna sauce with capers

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Brush the peppers with vegetable oil and roast for 20-25 minutes until soft and slightly charred.
  2. While the peppers are roasting, prepare the sauce: place tuna, mayonnaise, cream, peeled garlic and capers into a blender bowl.
  3. Blend the sauce until smooth and creamy. Add a little tuna liquid if needed.
  4. Cut the red onion into thin half-rings and soak in cold water for 5 minutes to remove excess bitterness.
  5. Take the roasted peppers out of the oven, let them cool slightly, peel off the skin and cut into strips.
  6. Arrange the pepper strips on a plate, drizzle with tonnato sauce and sprinkle with marinated onion.
  7. Serve the appetizer slightly chilled or at room temperature.
