Juicy beef with mushrooms in a fragrant wine-soy sauce

  1. Slice beef into thin strips against the grain
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over high heat
  3. Fry the beef for 3-4 minutes until golden brown
  4. Slice mushrooms and add to the meat
  5. Saute mushrooms with meat for 3-4 minutes
  6. Add minced garlic and thyme sprigs
  7. Pour in red wine and soy sauce
  8. Add honey and stir
  9. Dilute corn starch in a small amount of water
  10. Pour starch into the pan, stirring constantly
  11. Add butter for a glossy sauce
  12. Simmer over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until thickened
  13. Add cherry tomatoes, halved
  14. Sprinkle with pine nuts
  15. Season with black pepper
  16. Plate and top with arugula
