Description

Tender flounder fillet in a fragrant homemade sauce based on tomato paste, orange juice and ginger. A light, dietary and very tasty dish.

  1. Pat the flounder fillet dry with a paper towel and season on both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Fry the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Finely chop the garlic, peel and finely grate the ginger.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the orange juice, tomato paste, soy sauce and honey until smooth.
  5. In the same pan where the fish was fried, add the ginger and garlic. Sauté for 30-40 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly.
  6. Pour the orange-tomato mixture into the pan. Stir and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  7. Gently return the flounder to the pan with the sauce. Spoon the sauce over the fish and heat everything together for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Place the finished dish on a serving plate, pouring the sauce generously over it. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
