Baked Turkey with Mushrooms, Cheese and Onion
Description
Tender turkey fillet under a mushroom cap with melted cheese and creamy sauce
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Cut the turkey into portions and pound to 1.5 cm thickness.
- Season the turkey with salt, pepper and paprika.
- Heat sunflower oil in a pan and sear the turkey for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Slice the leek into thin rings and the mushrooms into slices.
- In a separate pan, melt the butter and sauté the leek until soft.
- Add the mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until the liquid evaporates.
- Pour in the cream, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Place the turkey in a baking dish.
- Spread the mushroom mixture over the top.
- Slice the mozzarella and place it over the mushrooms.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
- Serve hot, garnished with herbs if desired.
