Description

Juicy beef liver in breading, served with caramelized apples and onions in a honey-mustard sauce

  1. Rinse the beef liver, pat dry and cut into portion pieces about 1 cm thick
  2. Dredge each piece of liver in flour on all sides
  3. Melt half of the butter (15 g) in a pan and fry the liver for 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked
  4. Remove the liver from the pan, season with salt and pepper to taste
  5. Peel the onion and cut into half rings, cut the apple into 4 parts, remove the core and slice thinly
  6. In the same pan, melt the remaining butter, add the onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes
  7. Add the apples, drizzle with lemon juice and cook for another 2-3 minutes
  8. Add honey and whole grain mustard, stir and cook for 1 more minute until lightly caramelized
  9. Place the liver on a plate and top with the apple-onion mixture with sauce
  10. Serve immediately while hot
