Description

An original way to serve your favorite rolls as a cake with salmon and cream cheese

  1. Rinse sushi rice in cold water until clear, boil according to package instructions until done.
  2. Mix rice vinegar with sugar and salt, heat slightly until dissolved, season hot rice and cool.
  3. Slice lightly salted salmon into thin strips.
  4. Peel cucumber, remove seeds and cut into thin strips.
  5. Line a small round mold with plastic wrap, place half a sheet of nori on the bottom.
  6. Place half of the rice on the nori, press down, spread with half of the cream cheese.
  7. Add a layer of cucumber and half of the salmon.
  8. Cover with remaining nori, place remaining rice and press down.
  9. Flip the mold onto a plate, remove the plastic wrap.
  10. Spread the top with remaining cream cheese, garnish with remaining salmon and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  11. Serve with soy sauce, cutting the cake like a pie.
