Description

Hearty hot dish of pork with potatoes, prunes and mushrooms, stewed in a pot

  1. Cut the pork into medium pieces (3–4 cm)
  2. Heat half the oil in a frying pan and brown the pork for 5–7 minutes
  3. Slice the onion into half-rings and fry in the remaining oil until translucent
  4. Soak the dried mushrooms in warm water for 10–15 minutes, then squeeze out
  5. Cut the potatoes into large cubes
  6. Add tomato paste and adjika to the onion, stir and cook for 1–2 minutes
  7. Layer in the pot: pork, onion with sauce, mushrooms, potatoes, prunes
  8. Add bay leaf, peppercorns and salt
  9. Pour in 100–150 ml of hot water up to half the height of the contents
  10. Cover the pot with a lid and place in an oven preheated to 180°C
  11. Stew for 60–70 minutes until the meat and potatoes are tender
  12. Sprinkle with finely chopped green onion before serving
