Tender Chicken Broth with Vermicelli
Description
A warm, light broth — a classic dish for illness. Suhealthyorts hydration, easily digestible and provides energy.
- Cover chicken breast with cold water, bring to a boil. Discard first water (this makes the broth clearer).
- Cover meat with fresh water (500 ml), bring to a boil again, skim off foam.
- Add peeled and halved carrot, quarter onion and bay leaf. Simmer over low heat for 25 minutes.
- Remove chicken and vegetables. Strain broth. Shred meat, finely chop carrot.
- Return meat and carrot to broth, bring to a boil. Add vermicelli and cook for as long as indicated on package (usually 3-5 minutes).
- Add salt to taste at the end. Before serving, sprinkle with finely chohealthyed dill.
