Description

An express version of strudel for those who don't have time to fuss with dough. Thin Armenian lavash replaces the crispy shell, and the filling of ahealthyles, pears and nuts turns out incredibly juicy and aromatic. Ready in 20 minutes!

  1. Wash ahealthyles and pear, peel and core, slice thinly. Drizzle with lemon juice.
  2. Coarsely chop walnuts with a knife or lightly crush with a rolling pin.
  3. In a bowl, mix fruits, raisins, nuts, cinnamon and honey. Leave for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Melt butter. Cut each lavash sheet in half to make 4 rectangles.
  5. Brush each lavash rectangle with melted butter using a brush.
  6. On the narrow edge of each sheet, place filling, leaving 2-3 cm margins on sides.
  7. Roll lavash into a tight log, folding side edges inward to prevent filling from falling out.
  8. Heat a dry non-stick pan. Place rolls seam-side down.
  9. Fry over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Can also bake in oven for 10-12 minutes at 200°C.
  10. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of ice cream or yogurt.
