Serbian Potato Dumplings with Chocolate and Plum
Description
Serbian potato dumplings stuffed with plum, coated in chocolate crumbs and pistachios. A hearty and original dish.
- Peel and boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash, let cool.
- Add egg, 0.5 tbsp sugar, semolina and 75 g flour to cooled mashed potatoes. Knead a soft dough.
- Cut plums in half, remove pits. Sprinkle a little sugar into each half.
- Use remaining flour for dusting. Divide dough into 2-3 parts, form flat cakes.
- Place a plum half in the center of each cake and seal edges, forming a round dumpling.
- Boil dumplings in salted boiling water for 5-7 minutes after they float to the surface.
- Grate white and dark chocolate on a fine grater, mix.
- Crush cookies and peeled pistachios into crumbs, add to chocolate and mix.
- Roll cooked dumplings in chocolate-nut crumbs on all sides.
- Serve dumplings warm.
