Description

Hearty puff pastry pie filled with beef stew, onions and carrots. Quick recipe using ready-made dough for a filling lunch or dinner.

  1. Thaw the puff pastry at room temperature.
  2. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
  3. Heat a pan with sunflower oil and sauté the onion until translucent.
  4. Add the carrot and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the beef stew, breaking it up with a spatula.
  6. Pour in soy sauce and ketchup, mix and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  7. Remove the filling from heat and let it cool slightly.
  8. Roll out the dough, dusting the work surface with flour.
  9. Cut circles from the dough to fit the molds.
  10. Grease the molds with butter.
  11. Place the bottom layer of dough into the mold, spread the filling.
  12. Cover with the second dough circle, pinch the edges.
  13. Brush the top of the pie with beaten egg.
  14. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  15. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  16. Let the pie cool slightly before serving.
