Puff Pastry Pie with Beef Stew
Description
Hearty puff pastry pie filled with beef stew, onions and carrots. Quick recipe using ready-made dough for a filling lunch or dinner.
- Thaw the puff pastry at room temperature.
- Finely chop the onion and grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
- Heat a pan with sunflower oil and sauté the onion until translucent.
- Add the carrot and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the beef stew, breaking it up with a spatula.
- Pour in soy sauce and ketchup, mix and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove the filling from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Roll out the dough, dusting the work surface with flour.
- Cut circles from the dough to fit the molds.
- Grease the molds with butter.
- Place the bottom layer of dough into the mold, spread the filling.
- Cover with the second dough circle, pinch the edges.
- Brush the top of the pie with beaten egg.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the pie cool slightly before serving.
