Description

Homemade Mexican-style burger with a beef patty, cheddar cheese and spicy sauce on a wheat tortilla.

  1. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and mix well. Form a flat patty the size of the tortilla.
  2. Fry the patty in a preheated pan on both sides until cooked through (3-4 minutes per side).
  3. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream and adjika until smooth — this is the sauce.
  4. Thinly slice the red onion, cut the tomato into thin rounds, and slice the pickled cucumber lengthwise.
  5. Warm the tortilla slightly on a dry pan on both sides.
  6. Spread the prepared sauce in the center of the tortilla.
  7. Place a lettuce leaf on the sauce, then the hot patty, and top with cheddar cheese slices.
  8. Add tomato slices, onion and pickled cucumber slices.
  9. Fold the tortilla into an envelope or tight roll so the filling stays inside.
  10. Serve immediately, cut in half if desired.
