Lazy Fried Pies with Egg and Green Onion on Kefir
Description
Quick pan-fried pies made with yeast-free kefir batter, no proofing needed. Soft, with a classic boiled egg and green onion filling.
- Boil 1 egg hard (about 10 minutes), cool, peel and chop finely.
- Finely chop the green onions and mix with the boiled egg, lightly salt — this is the filling.
- In a bowl, mix kefir, sour cream, raw egg, sugar, salt and baking soda. Whisk together.
- Gradually add sifted flour and knead a soft, slightly sticky dough.
- Grease your hands with vegetable oil. Take a portion of dough, flatten into a disc, place some filling in the center.
- Pinch the edges to form a pie and flatten it slightly.
- Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Fry the pies for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- For the sauce, mix the remaining sour cream with adjika. Serve the pies hot with the sauce.
