Description

A simple and hearty jellied pie made with rice flour, filled with stewed cabbage, green onions and Adyghe cheese.

  1. Finely shred the cabbage and sauté it in a pan with a little oil until soft. Season with salt to taste and let cool.
  2. Chop the green onions and Adyghe cheese into small cubes. Mix with the cooled cabbage.
  3. In a bowl, beat 2 eggs with kefir, add a pinch of salt and sugar. Sift the rice flour with baking powder and mix into a batter.
  4. Grease a baking dish with oil. Pour half of the batter into the dish, then spread the filling evenly on top.
  5. Pour the remaining batter over the filling. In a separate bowl, beat the remaining 2 eggs, add Adyghe salt, and pour this mixture over the top of the pie.
  6. Sprinkle the pie with white sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let the pie cool slightly in the pan, then slice and serve.
