Quick Cheese Flatbreads with Kefir in a Skillet
Description
Quick savory flatbreads with cheese and herbs
- In a bowl, mix kefir, sugar, salt and baking soda. Leave for 5 minutes to activate the soda.
- Gradually add sifted flour and knead into a soft, slightly sticky dough.
- Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Finely chop parsley and dill. Mix cheese with herbs.
- Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Roll each part into a flatbread about 5 mm thick.
- Place half of the cheese filling in the center of each flatbread.
- Gather the edges of the dough to the center, pinch into a pouch and carefully roll out again into a flatbread.
- Heat a dry skillet over medium heat. Fry the flatbreads for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Brush the finished flatbreads with butter and serve hot.
