Quick savory flatbreads with cheese and herbs

  1. In a bowl, mix kefir, sugar, salt and baking soda. Leave for 5 minutes to activate the soda.
  2. Gradually add sifted flour and knead into a soft, slightly sticky dough.
  3. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Finely chop parsley and dill. Mix cheese with herbs.
  4. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Roll each part into a flatbread about 5 mm thick.
  5. Place half of the cheese filling in the center of each flatbread.
  6. Gather the edges of the dough to the center, pinch into a pouch and carefully roll out again into a flatbread.
  7. Heat a dry skillet over medium heat. Fry the flatbreads for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. Brush the finished flatbreads with butter and serve hot.
