Japanese-style Tuna Filo Pies
Description
Crispy filo pastry pies filled with teriyaki tuna, leek and carrots, sprinkled with sesame seeds.
- Grate the carrot on a coarse grater, slice the leek into thin rings.
- Heat a pan with half the sunflower oil, fry the carrot and leek for 3-4 minutes until soft.
- Drain the oil from the tuna, mash it with a fork and add to the vegetables.
- Pour in the teriyaki sauce, add salt, mix and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
- Cut the filo pastry into strips about 8-10 cm wide.
- Place the filling on the edge of each strip and fold into a triangle, tucking the edges.
- Brush the pies with the remaining sunflower oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
