- Cover blueberries with water and bring to a boil. Cook for 7-10 minutes over medium heat.
- Strain the decoction through a sieve, mash berries well and squeeze juice back into the decoction.
- Return liquid to medium heat.
- Dissolve starch in 2 tablespoons of cold water until smooth.
- When the decoction begins to boil again, pour dissolved starch in a thin stream, stirring intensively.
- Bring to a boil, immediately remove from heat. Kissel is ready when slightly thickened.
- Pour into a cup and cool.
