Lazy Khachapuri with Cheese in a Skillet
Description
A quick and easy skillet version of khachapuri with suluguni cheese. Made from a simple milk-based dough, it turns out soft and satisfying.
- Grate the suluguni cheese on a coarse grater.
- In a bowl, combine milk, sugar, egg and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Add flour with baking powder and knead a soft, slightly sticky dough.
- Fold the grated cheese into the dough.
- Heat a skillet with oil over medium heat.
- Place the dough into the skillet and flatten it into a flatbread using a spoon or wet hands.
- Cook covered for 4-5 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Transfer the khachapuri to a plate and serve immediately.
