Healthy Tuna Burger with Cucumber Relish
Description
A light yet satisfying burger made with canned tuna in its own juice. Fresh cucumber and a tangy sauce add juiciness and a summery feel to the dish.
- Drain the liquid from the tuna can and mash the fish with a fork in a bowl.
- Finely chop the red onion and dill. Coarsely grate the cucumber and gently squeeze out excess moisture.
- Mix the tuna, egg, half of the onion, dill, salt, and pepper. Shape into a round patty.
- Fry the patty in a pan with a drop of olive oil for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden.
- Cut and lightly toast the bun. Mix the remaining cucumber with the remaining onion, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt — this will replace the sauce.
- Layer the lettuce leaves, the fish patty, and the cucumber relish on the bottom half of the bun.
- Cover with the top half and serve.
