Nests with Stuffed Meatballs
Description
Pasta nests with juicy meatballs stuffed with quail egg in tomato sauce
- Boil the quail egg hard-boiled (4 minutes after boiling), cool and peel
- Finely chop the onion, mince the garlic
- Mix the ground meat with half the onion, salt and pepper
- Wrap the quail egg with the meat mixture, forming a meatball
- Heat sunflower oil in a pan and fry the meatball until golden brown on all sides
- Add the remaining onion and garlic, sauté for 1-2 minutes
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, add Provencal herbs, salt and pepper
- Simmer the meatball in the sauce over low heat for 10-12 minutes
- Boil the pasta nests in salted water until al dente (according to package instructions)
- Place the nest on a plate, put the meatball on top, pour over the tomato sauce
- Sprinkle with grated cheese and garnish with fresh basil
