Description

Pasta nests with juicy meatballs stuffed with quail egg in tomato sauce

  1. Boil the quail egg hard-boiled (4 minutes after boiling), cool and peel
  2. Finely chop the onion, mince the garlic
  3. Mix the ground meat with half the onion, salt and pepper
  4. Wrap the quail egg with the meat mixture, forming a meatball
  5. Heat sunflower oil in a pan and fry the meatball until golden brown on all sides
  6. Add the remaining onion and garlic, sauté for 1-2 minutes
  7. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, add Provencal herbs, salt and pepper
  8. Simmer the meatball in the sauce over low heat for 10-12 minutes
  9. Boil the pasta nests in salted water until al dente (according to package instructions)
  10. Place the nest on a plate, put the meatball on top, pour over the tomato sauce
  11. Sprinkle with grated cheese and garnish with fresh basil
