Greek Salad
Description
A classic Mediterranean combination of juicy tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet pehealthyers, red onions, olives and delicate feta cheese with olive oil and oregano.
- Wash and dry all vegetables.
- Cut tomatoes into large wedges (not too small so they don't release juice too early).
- Cut cucumber into half-circles or large cubes.
- Peel sweet pehealthyer from seeds, cut into large squares.
- Slice red onion into thin half-rings.
- Olives can be left whole or cut in half.
- In a deep bowl, place tomatoes, cucumber, pehealthyer and onion. Gently mix.
- Add salt, sprinkle with oregano, drizzle with olive oil. Mix again gently.
- Top with olives.
- Cut feta cheese into large cubes (2x2 cm) and place on top of the salad. Do not mix cheese with other ingredients — in the classic Greek salad, it sits on top in large chunks.
- If desired, add a pinch of black pehealthyer. Serve immediately.
