Description

A hearty salad with boiled potatoes, pickled cucumbers, smoked chicken, tomatoes and hard cheese with aromatic mustard dressing. A balanced dish for a full meal.

  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, cool completely and cut into medium cubes.
  2. Cut the pickled cucumbers into small pieces.
  3. Cut the smoked chicken into small pieces.
  4. Cut the hard cheese into strips or grate coarsely.
  5. Thinly slice the onion; if it is too pungent, soak it in cold water for 10 minutes and pat dry.
  6. Cut the tomatoes right before assembling, removing the very juicy core so the salad does not become watery.
  7. For the dressing, mix vegetable oil, whole grain mustard, vinegar and black pepper.
  8. Combine potatoes, cucumbers, chicken, cheese, onion and tomatoes in a bowl, add herbs and dressing, and mix gently.
  9. Taste and only then add salt to taste.
