Asian-style Chicken Schnitzel in Sesame
Description
Crispy chicken schnitzel in sesame breading with an Asian touch
- Cut the chicken fillet in half lengthwise to make a thin schnitzel
- Pound the fillet through plastic wrap to a thickness of 5–7 mm
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides
- Brush the schnitzel with soy sauce and let it rest for 5 minutes
- Beat the egg in a shallow plate
- Put the flour in a separate plate
- Put the sesame seeds in a third plate
- Dredge the schnitzel in flour and shake off the excess
- Dip the schnitzel into the beaten egg
- Coat the schnitzel in sesame seeds on all sides, pressing firmly
- Heat a pan with sunflower oil over medium heat
- Fry the schnitzel for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown
- Place the cooked schnitzel on a paper towel to remove excess oil
- Serve hot
