Description

Hearty roll made of mashed potatoes with a filling of ground beef, onions and melted cheese, baked in the oven.

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and boil in salted water until tender. Drain and mash into a puree.
  2. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Sauté the onion in sunflower oil until soft, add the ground beef and cook, breaking up lumps, until browned.
  3. Add tomato paste, paprika, salt and pepper to the minced meat. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Finely chop the parsley.
  5. Place the mashed potatoes on oiled parchment paper or a silicone mat, forming a rectangle about 1.5 cm thick.
  6. Spread the meat filling over the potato layer, leaving a little space at the edges.
  7. Sprinkle the filling with grated cheese and parsley.
  8. Carefully roll up the roulade using the parchment, pinching the edges.
  9. Transfer the roulade seam-side down to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let the roulade cool slightly, slice into portions and serve.
