Potato Roll with Minced Meat and Cheese
Description
Hearty roll made of mashed potatoes with a filling of ground beef, onions and melted cheese, baked in the oven.
- Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and boil in salted water until tender. Drain and mash into a puree.
- Finely chop the onion and garlic. Sauté the onion in sunflower oil until soft, add the ground beef and cook, breaking up lumps, until browned.
- Add tomato paste, paprika, salt and pepper to the minced meat. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Finely chop the parsley.
- Place the mashed potatoes on oiled parchment paper or a silicone mat, forming a rectangle about 1.5 cm thick.
- Spread the meat filling over the potato layer, leaving a little space at the edges.
- Sprinkle the filling with grated cheese and parsley.
- Carefully roll up the roulade using the parchment, pinching the edges.
- Transfer the roulade seam-side down to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the roulade cool slightly, slice into portions and serve.
