  1. Boil the rice until half-cooked in salted water (about 7-8 minutes), drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Finely shred the cabbage, dice the onion, and grate the carrot.
  3. Heat a pan with half the vegetable oil, sauté the onion and carrot until soft (3-4 minutes).
  4. In a deep bowl, combine the ground meat, cabbage, cooled rice, sautéed vegetables, and egg.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, and mix thoroughly until homogeneous.
  6. Form oblong cabbage rolls (3-4 pieces per serving) and lightly coat them in flour.
  7. In the remaining oil, fry the cabbage rolls on all sides until golden brown (2 minutes per side).
  8. In a saucepan, melt the butter, add the flour and cook for 1 minute until golden.
  9. Pour 150 ml of hot water into the saucepan, add tomato paste and processed cheese, stir until the cheese dissolves.
  10. Bring the sauce to a boil, season with salt and pepper.
  11. Place the fried cabbage rolls into the saucepan with the sauce, cover and simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes.
  12. Serve the cabbage rolls hot, drizzled with the sauce.
