Description
Hearty wheat pilaf with chicken legs, chili pepper and raisins.
- Rinse and dry chicken legs, cut into pieces if needed.
- Heat oil in a saucepan or cauldron and fry the legs until golden brown on all sides.
- Slice the onion into half rings and carrot into strips. Add to the chicken and fry for 5-7 minutes until soft.
- Add pilaf seasoning, cumin and a pinch of salt. Stir.
- Rinse millet groats in cold water and drain.
- Place the groats on top of the chicken and vegetables, level the surface.
- Insert half a garlic head (peeled from outer skin) in the center.
- Add raisins and whole or sliced chili pepper.
- Pour hot water so it covers the groats by about 1 cm.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30-35 minutes until the groats absorb all the liquid.
- Remove from heat and let rest covered for another 10 minutes. Stir before serving.
