Description

Crispy potato pancakes with Gouda cheese and fresh herbs. A healthy and satisfying single-serving breakfast.

  1. Peel the potatoes and grate them on a coarse grater.
  2. Squeeze the grated potatoes to remove excess juice using your hands or cheesecloth.
  3. Transfer the potatoes to a bowl, add the egg, potato starch, salt, pepper, and dried garlic. Mix well.
  4. Grate the Gouda cheese on a coarse grater and add it to the potato mixture.
  5. Finely chop the dill and add it to the bowl. Mix everything thoroughly.
  6. Heat the sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Shape the mixture into flat patties about 1 cm thick and place them in the pan.
  8. Fry for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  9. Place the finished hash browns on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  10. Serve hot, optionally sprinkled with fresh dill.
